You dont have the flu, you'd be throwing up and nautious then.
You picked up a cold virus, but not from the cold weather. It came from someone else, in the air at the football game, or even before that. Virus' take at least 24 hours to take effect in a person's body.
The best you can do if you need to go to school, is take a non-drowsy medication, like Daytime Nyquil, drink a lot of liquids, and eat gentle food like soup, crackers, toast, fruits, but NO cheese, or MILK! These foods contain fat and will cause your nasals to produce more mucus, so your stuffy nose will get worse.
You can take nose spray with you wherever you go to clear your nose so you can breathe right. Wear warm clothing, and if you have a turtle neck, or scarf, wear it. Protect your neck at all times.
Also gargle warm salty water, this will dry up mucus in your throat. Hope you feel better soon.

Sounds like your exposure to the cold weather made you susceptible to a virus. The sore throat and muscle weakness are indicative.
Force fluids, vitamin C, and get as much rest as possible. Use a decongestant, because if your ears remain blocked for a long time you might get an ear infection.

You don't necessarily have to be throwing up with the flu. The flu is only a symptom of other problems, a name. The flu is a strain of viruses of different cultures that affect the human body.
A fever, sore throat, headache, eyes hurt, sometimes you mouth or throat is on fire. Your tired and restless and sleep constantly.

Why fight it? sleep, this is what your body needs, unless you have hard breathing (pneumonia) heavy chest and need help in breathing, the doctor would order you to bed, lots of liquids, little to no food.

You don't need to be running around I don't care what or how bad you need something. You will end up with pneumonia due to being overtired and wearing yourself out.

Remember, lots of liquids, rest and stay put.
