Frontline or advantage work fine.
are you giving the correct dosage ???
the correct application (dosage ) is based on the animals weight..
To little of dosage will be ineffective
to much can harm the animal..........

Well.. it depends on what you are using Advantage for. If for ticks, it will never work. For fleas, Advantage is a topical treatment. This means it spreads via the oiliness of your dog's skin. If your dog's skin is typically dry then, you wont have effective spreading. Also, keep in mind every time you bath your dog, you'll need to reapply..
I recommend Frontline Plus.. this is the only preventative out there that is absorbed via their glands.

are you bathing your dog to soon after application and are you using a regular shampoo or an oatmeal? If you feel the product is not working you should either call your vet and ask them or call the manufacturer and ask them they should have a customer service number on the box.

That really doesn't tell me anything, sorry. You might not be applying the stuff correctly, because it works fine for my dogs.
