I am a witch. In my community some people seeking knowledge have started asking for my guidance and wisdom but I have tried to explain the answers I have found are good answers for me, not necessarily for any one else. But they just keep coming back asking me stuff like I am some sort of oracle or prophet. I’m not. What would you do?

I was in the seminary for 2 years, I know the bible. Actually, I know many of the differences between the various versions. Please don't quote me scripture or try to save me. I have been down that road and have made my decision.
Blessed Be.

If you do not wish to teach or offer others guidance, than tell them that you are not really a great source for information. If you continually have others coming to you asking for help and guidance, maybe you need to consider that your path is now to teach and not just to learn in a solitary fashion.
For my spiritual path, I tend to share what I have learned through my experience to help guide and teach others as best I can, with the additional push that each must learn from within as well as from outside of themselves. If we were not meant to help each other along the way, then we would be walking this journey alone. If you have found things that are useful to you on your path, that wisdom will be helpful to others who are just starting out. How did you come to know and understand your path? Aren't you thankful to those who helped guide you? I know I am grateful for all of the help I have received that guided me.

I would just explain that it is a deeply personal thing that you feel uncomfortable with the idea of using it with outside people. If they really seem interested in the general beliefs maybe you could recommend them some reading or sources that you found that were important in your belief formation. If they just want you to give them some fast answers about life they are just trying to use you. Many people are just sheeple and want to be able to look to someone else for answers. It will come back to bite you if they don't like the answers or if the interpretation is off. Tell them we all have to seek and find our own answers. Thats more honest than most of the "prophets" will ever be.

I get that occasionally from people who work with me. They aren't really entertaining the idea of becoming a pagan. At least in my case, they are simply curious, probably because I seem so normal.
I just answer their Q's as best I can and if I get stumped by them i simply tell them I am still learning and I will ask my friend who has studied much longer than I have. Luckily they don't expect me to know everything about paganism.
Peace
And BTW to the girl above, FridayNighter...No male witches are not wizards. They are male witches. Do a little studying before you say dumb things.

I believe as humans we should help folks find the Truth. I like the old Zen saying "There are many natures, therefore many paths to gain the top of the mountain".
So long as you remember that your truth is yours, and that the journey is the point you will do fine. Stick to the questions and not so much with the answers. You can't give them the solution to their problem, but you CAN help lead them to it.

When you can help you should answer. Obviously they feel they benefit from talking to you since they keep coming back. If you think the best answer is to direct them to search for the answer without your guidance, then that is your answer, and they should respect that if they seek your council.

repent of your sin. Witchcraft is condemned in the Bible. Revelation 21:8 "But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."
2 Timothy 3:16 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness."

I would tell them that they need to look into this on their own. Point them toward some books or websites and tell them to move along.

Get Jesus and look to the Bible for answers. Tell them to do the same.
