For your health, or for your well-being in other ways?

Health-wise, it's marginal. All the recent recommendations are for a drink a day; rarely, two. But three isn't so far over that as to be "bad." If you're healthy, and the rest of your diet is healthy, you'd still be ahead of most of the population.

Otherwise, it's probably fine, so long as you never go over that, and don't get stupid over three. If you're going to a pub after work with friends and doing this before you go home, it sounds like fun. It also sounds like a good way to unwind if you do it over a number of hours to unwind at the end of the day, as a secondary activity to cooking and eating dinner, or reading, watching television, talking with your family, etc. Slamming them back and looking for trouble, on the other hand, would be "bad."

It just depends...

Are we talking with a meal, or is beer the ONLY substance being consumed? (Beer in place of food...)

How much does the individual weigh?

I would say on average the answer is no, it is not bad for you. Because you think that is only 21 beers per/week.
If you go out on three nights per/week and have 4 beers each time, that doesn't sound excessive to me but everybody is different.

(That being said, however, if you do this for 35 years in a row, you may have developed a drinking problem.)

yes beer is high in carbs.

a glass of wine a day is more rewarding.. it has vitamin b 12 (from the yeast) and it's got acids, other elements in it to cut through cholesterol, increase amino acid production and helps with the digestive tract and increasing other elements (sorry i can't recall all the elements) to increase serum to help the blood unclot and help arterial walls from becoming sticky with lipids and other blocking materials and hardening agents that will make veins hard and break such as in a stroke or other like aneurysm.

but do watch for the heart burn if you suffer from gerd.

red wine's also been known to help with pms and prostate issues.

moderate red wine consumption also helps with circulation, respiration and keeps the blood pressure lower than it would be without it.

this also works if you are on anti hypertensive meds..

remember moderation.

beer unfortunately though it can work wonders with the bladder.. it's elements aren't fruit it's wheat based and can cause blockage and hardening of the kidneys and arteries. it doesn't work the same because it's not made from fruits. and the carb production can lead to increased lipid counts and constipation.

the cons of beer.. you'll get fat too!

it does wonders for some men with the prostate but red wine works better.

still... too much red wine can increase triglyceride counts and that isn't good.. you'll get fatty material in the intestines..

I know I wouldn't be in good shape after 3 beers. My bowling team gets a pitcher and after 2 I can't even bowl as well. I don't think I would want to do that on a daily basis. Plus I have seen my husband gain weight by drinking beer.

I guess none of these wankers who answered read the study in Demark that said 3 beers a day is beneficail to prostate health, only thing is you have to consume 3 a day, if you system and waist line can handle it and you spread them out in the day, why not??

Why does it have to be 3 beers? Can you stop at just 1 ? Or not at all?

It is actually; with three beers you see your husband as an Average Joe and with six you see Brad Pitt. Now you would not want to fight with Brad would you? But with average Joe, well things might not be the same.

It would only affect your stomach to become bigger but not really on you health as long as you wouldn´t drink more than three. A s a matter of fact it has many benefits as to prevent a hard attack, or to be all stressed up, even to become all depressed.

Consistent alcohol consumption is a symptom of alcoholism. You are putting a lot of strain on your liver my drinking that much every day.
