Oh...try connecting to people in your classes, I know it might be hard. But seek out people that share similar interests as you. I've noticed that most people who are shy are much more observant then us social butterflies (myself...lol), so if you are observant (which I'm sure you are), realize that everyone has flaws, glitches, no one is perfect (except Jesus), in reality we are all on the same level weather people want to believe that or not. Understand & realize that you have something to offer others, just as they have something to offer you. Things might be hard at first but after a while you'll become more accustomed to talking to strangers. You can always warm your way into this, chat rooms & such will help, start conversations just like you like to in person so you get some practice in. In the end, Sometimes you just got to take the bull by the horns & bite the bullet on things. If you are lonely then the only person that can change that is you. Take Care & Good Luck!

You could be more pathetic.. But, why would you want to?
Take a bath wear clean clothes and Go to a place people are and talk to someone about what ever goes on at that place. They are interested because they are there.
Stick your hand out and say "Hi! my name is ______" You will be surprised at the number of strangers that will in fact shake your hand. Your not making a commitment with this person, they may even tell you their name. People basically want to trust other people. Try it as an experiment, what have you got to lose besides fear? You can go home and cry later, after all what are you doing now?

Why? And i mean that, why in the hell are you shy. I would give back my jet to be 20 again… and love all the ladies!
You're not pathetic, that is, unless you're not willing to change for the better. I tell you what, you remind me of… well i would say me, but i would be lying. Seriously, shoot me your email address and a note, and i'll hook you up with the next Wednesday Night Session in a city near you. You can get the chance to meet some real players, have a few drinks, talk to a few ladies, all with experienced players in the field to guide and mold you into the babe magnet we all know you can be.
But you must be willing to make that change, and say from today… I CAN BE GREAT! Because you're not there yet, but you can be.
Don't let life get you down, in college @ 20, i would have packed four semesters worth of girls into one Spring Break. And the college campus is the great place to completely remake your character.
Try today to be the pimp everyone knows you can be, and always drop us a line for guidance.
Be well!

This is not a bad thing. I wish there were more guys like you. My daughter is 7 years old, when she turns 20 (which is old enough to date), I would hope she finds a man just like you!!! Now days men are dogs, hoes, and playa's. What happened to all the nice guys? You seem to be one. Maybe you just need to get out more, go to social gatherings. What are you interests? Go to a club, a bar, a poetry reading, a comedy club, the beach, church, sporting event, all these are places you can meet people. Plus you're in college, you can meet people there also.

Your not a loser. You just need to open up a little and let people in a litlle more. Find people who have same interest. By going to places that interest you. And just be yourself, Remember it doesnt matter what people think. They feelings about who u are as a person is so small is should not even be considered you have to be comfortable with yourself. Always be in control of you and what you do. And never ever let anyone take advantage of you. Being that you are this way it is easy for people to treat you badly and use you. Don't worry about taking care of them just take care of you. Be confident. Be you, Be strong

You are not pathetic, why don't you try taking a public speaking class to get over your anxiety a little. try to join some clubs at school or talk to people when you are standing next to them in line.. just a simple hello can sometimes get a conversation started. take baby steps you don't need to become a social butterfly over night.. Be confident in yourself, your stronger than you give yourself credit.. Take a deep breathe before you leap.. Good luck

You're still young. I wouldn't worry too much. Join a club or a sports team. Do things that require you to be social. If your social anxiety is really bad, maybe you should consider seeing a therapist to get your brain reprogrammed.
