King Fortis the Brave - about a pair of twins that are pulled into a magical world where they are caught up in a battle for control of the land. They have to learn to stop fighting with each other and work together if they are going to survive. A great book filled with action, adventure and humor (and two strong female role models in Aimee - one of the twins- and Gillian - a warrior they meet along the way).

Your niece will love it. And you probably will too!

When I was 15, I really enjoyed the Wrinkle in Time books by Madeleine L'Engle. And the Narnia books.

And hells yeah, I even loved the Flowers in the Attic books!

hmm, 15, try the classics, Bronte sisters, or something modern, depends on her taste. Ask her what she likes in a book. R.L Stine is a good horror author, Laruene Mc Daniel is a good 'tear jerker' author. Just hit the "Teen" section of the bookstore, there's tons out there.

i think it is called "The Giver" It is about a society in the future who simplified and see everything in black and white, and their lives are decied for them and everything. One boy during graduation is designated as "the receiver" becuase he can see color and things. His job is to meat with this old guy every day and receive knowledge of thinks like color and rain, and history. I know, i probably make it sound boring, but it is really good. It is for a middle to highschool age reader.
