NORMAL GESTATION IN DOGS (Pregnancy)
Gestation is the period when the young are developing in the mother’s uterus. In dogs, gestation normally lasts 9 weeks (63 days). However, puppies may be delivered between 58 and 68 days.

It will vary slightly from dog to dog.
The gestation period for a dog is between 59 to 63 days.
It is unusual for the female to deliver less than 57 days or later than 68 days.
I start my count on the day the female and the male have the first lock.
I prefer to breed once a day for two or three days, that is why I start counting on the first day.
Just try to plan everything so you will be around the house between the 59 to 63 day. In case she needs your assistance.

A dog will deliver pups anywhere from 56 to 63 days from time of breeding,which equals 9 wks.and only if litter she is carring is a big litter,some delivers in 56 days from time of breeding.

Hi it takes 64 days but they can come 4 days early or 4 days late...I have bred dogs & was raised with dogs...now 54 so I have seen a few puppies born...just let nature take it's course...good luck..Regards Jake

62 days, well for my dog it was 62 days. the day we found out she was pregnant we looked it up on the internet and it said around 62 days. she had her pups on the 61st day
