Jehovah's Witnesses use this scripture a lot. If they don't believe in the gospel (Jesus Christ is God and died for our sins) then what is the "good news" they are referring to?

Jehovah's Witnesses are being awfully rude about my asking questions. Some things may not be asked correctly, but thats why I am asking a question, to get answers, not rude comments suggesting for me to get my facts straight.

This so-called "question" apparently ignores the specific verse around which it is centered!
(Matthew 24:14) And this good news OF THE KINGDOM will be preached
Again and again, Jesus himself quite plainly taught that the "good news" that must be preached concerns God's Kingdom government.
(Matthew 4:23) [Jesus] went around throughout the whole of Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the good news OF THE KINGDOM [emphasis added]
(Matthew 9:35) Jesus set out on a tour of all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the good news OF THE KINGDOM [emphasis added]
(Mark 1:14-15) Jesus went into Galilee, preaching the good news of God 15 and saying: “The appointed time has been fulfilled, and the KINGDOM of God has drawn near [emphasis added]
(Luke 4:43) [Jesus] said to them: “Also to other cities I must declare the good news OF THE KINGDOM of God, because for this I was sent forth.” [emphasis added]
(Luke 8:1) [Jesus] went journeying from city to city and from village to village, preaching and declaring the good news OF THE KINGDOM of God. And the twelve were with him [emphasis added]
(Luke 16:16) From then on the KINGDOM of God is being declared as good news [emphasis added]
The early disciples also preached, just as Jesus did and just as Jehovah's Witnesses still do.
(Acts 8:12) Philip, who was declaring the good news of the KINGDOM of God [emphasis added]
(Acts 13:32) And so we [Paul and Barnabas] are declaring to you the good news about the promise made to the forefathers
(Acts 15:35) Paul and Barnabas continued spending time in Antioch teaching and declaring, with many others also, the good news of the word of Jehovah
A better question might ask, what kind of person would fail to understand the true and biblical nature of the "good news", and why?
(2 Corinthians 4:3-4) If, now, the good news we declare is in fact veiled, it is veiled among those who are perishing, 4 among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers

All the things wrong in the world today are to be made right by means of God's Kingdom under the rulership of his Son Jesus Christ.
As the future King, the things Jesus did when he was here were just a preview of what he will do on a far grander scale when his kingship takes over the government of the earth.
THAT is the good news.
The only ones as far as I know that teach this as Jesus prophesied in Matthew 24:14 and commanded in Matthew 28:19, 20 are Jehovah's Christian Witnesses
Additional Details
We know Jesus died for our sins. We believe, as the Bible teaches, that Jesus is, not God the Son, but the Son of God.

Get your facts straight. Where in the Bible does it say ANYTHING about the good news having to do with Jesus being God? Give me ONE verse and I'll follow you to the ends of the earth. You are just parroting the prejudicial thoughts of others who feel Jehovah's Witnesses are not Christian just because they do not believe in the God-dishonoring doctrine of the trinity.
If you really want to know what Jesus was talking about, just read Matt. 24:14 slowly. It says in part: "...the good news of the kingdom..." A kingdom is a government or rulership. So, here Jesus was talking about God's government that will end wickedness and death, and will restore this earth to the condition it was in before Adam sinned.

Matt 24:14 And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.
The kingdom of God,
God's government with Jesus as King.
The kingdom we are told to pray for.
The kingdom that will crush all existing governments.
The kingdom that will restore true worship to the earth
The kingdom that will sanctify Jehovah's name
Edit ----------------------------
The gospel according to Jesus and the context of the scripture you quoted.
It says "the good news of the kingdom"

You (like many others) misunderstood the definition of Gospel, which is defined as doctrine of faith or message.
Matthew 24:14 (King James Version) 1st known English translation.
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

The good news is the gospel. The best description in Scripture of this "good news" is in 1 Corinthians 15:2-6:
For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time.
To put simply, if you believe that Jesus died on the cross for the sins of the world, was buried, was raised on the 3rd day and appeared to many you will be saved! Now that is really good news!

Gospel literally means good news - other versions of the Bible read gospel, rather than good news. The good news is that salvation from your sins is possible with Jesus.

The good news is that Jesus is offering salvation to all the world. John 3:16 so that whoever believes can be saved. His death pays for our sin and he gives us his holiness so we can be in God's presence forever. Romans 6:23.
Praise God.
