Buy a bird feeder. I'm serious....Buy a bird feeder. Place it outside a window that you can clearly see out of and very soon you'll have plenty of little reminders of the beauty of God's creatures. You just might learn something new. Or maybe, you'll remember something you've forgotten.

P.S. After about 2 or 3 weeks, you are welcome to email me and tell me how it ' DIDN'T WORK '. .. SMILE

Spooky - It doesn't matter about winter!! There are tons of birds who don't migrate. Put up the bird feeder. Cmon, what harm would that do?
And I live in a cold area too! Finches, sparrows, wrens, wood-peckers etc. will all come.

Not just this question, but my previous 2 about --has it been a long time since you heard from a friend.... and do you know that a smile and hello can change someones day for the better...check my profile.. I re-posted them, just less than an hour ago. And there's another about to be re-posted that was deleted as well. Yahoo has put swords in the hands of idiots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh I feed the birds and the other critters. However, winter has descended upon my region. This is not the first snow we've had this week. Alas, the birds have moved on. A few die hards remain in my pine trees, and they enjoy the apples and pears which haven't fallen yet,but they'll soon be gone too.

EDIT: I have Rheumatoid Arthritis....I get flare-ups if I'm out in the cold for too long. I also live up high, and can't view my yard from the windows.

I used to have a bird feeder. The squirrels tore it down ate up all the seed and one angrily beat on my window to come out and refill the feeder. That was funny.

I gave up on that and acquired cats as my bundles of joy. They haven't caught the squirrels, birds or anything else. They do show up at the bowl regularly.

Bird feeders are great I love birds my family have one in their Yard we have seen woodpeckers, cardinals, finches, doves,
they are so pretty and cute, when I was a little girl I saw a robins egg for the first time and it was a beautiful sky blue.

Bird watching is very relaxing and calming Matthew 6 says his eye in on the sparrow and if he can take care of the birdies in the sky He can take care of us, that verse has always been a comfort. Thank you for posting this and enjoy your birdies as well.

I Love those Little Suckers (Birds), Especially the Ones that can Walk up a Wall, Down a Wall, Across a Wall, Under the Overhang!
How in the World do they do it?

Already achieved. I were given a chook feeder for my 2 kitties and hung it outdoors the decrease back window for them. THEY were given ME began with the chook observing! regrettably, the final public are sparrows, yet i have had the occasional visit from a Cardinal couple, a house Finch couple, a chickadee, and seasonally I see a species of black chook whose call is escaping me right this moment. even as i'm not absolutely one of those who traipse into the woods with binocs, a chook mag and a e book, I do savor seeing the various sorts and attempting to confirm out what they are.

My great big picture window in the kitchen came with the house. Great sparrows out there remind me everyday that God cares for me...

Birds are cool, but squirrels are fascinating. I got them eating out of my hand.

Will you be over to wash my car after the birds get done?

*edit*

I just don't care much for birds out my window. They wake me up, drive my cat crazy and then crap everywhere. I'm glad you dig them but it won't bring joy to me!

and you can multiply the entertainment by adopting a cat who will sit on the window sill and tie himself in knots watching the birds.

The cat can usually be obtained for free ;-)
