Check what you're losing to switch . .. is there a coverage decrease? Is there a limit decrease? Do you lose a loss free discount? Do you lose a non-renewal guarantee? Especially in a market as tight as Florida's is, I'd be very, very cautious about switching carriers.

is that the so called risk pool? if so id be cautious if you already have competent coverage. that can change anytime the Leg takes it into their heads to do so.

It is a market of last resort. Are you buying NFIP? They are going to be excess of NFIP.
