I have twins too, and I had to let them go at their own pace. Introduce the potty to them and once they show an interest give them a lot of praise, hugs and awards for going potty in the toilet. My boy had to sit on the potty for a long time because he was too short too stand. Also I think he mimicked his twin sister. They werent completely potty trained until about 2 1/2 and 3. Ask them frequently if they have to go, remind them that big boys go potty in the potty chair, diapers are for babies.

I am just in the process of potty training my 2 and a half year old daughter and she has taken to it really well - this time! I tried a couple of months ago when I thought she was ready and she just didn't get it - I'd put her on the potty every 20 minutes, she'd do nothing, then she would pee around the house. I started again about three weeks ago, giving her jelly babies for a little wee, chocolate buttons for a big wee or a poo. She didn't get many choc buttons! (My kids don't get many sweets so that was a real motivator). Then she got flu so I stopped and started again about 10 days ago and she's got it. Just like that. No rewards, no poo accidents and only a couple of wee accidents. So I think it's just a question of timing. When she was ready she did it fine. Some kids just take longer, boys especially, and maybe that's exaggerated with twins. I'm sure they'l be able to use a toilet by the time they go to school. Good luck with them. Sounds like hard work to me.

you have 2 twin boys? that means you have quadruplets?! When a person says "twin boys" we get the idea there are two children.

Okay, now, listen carefully...don't worry about it. Got it?

Now that you're not worried anymore, get a potty and a book. Read the book to them each day. Then let them try out the potty. IF they aren't cool with it, pushing or tricking them ain't gonna work. It's thier milestone, not yours and has so little to do with you as a mother. People stress about this and mother's who brag about thier child potty trained early are usually people with lack of educations and no career other than wiping little butts and noses. It's harsh, but you need to remember- You're a great mom whether or not your children are 'fast' at some milestone that is meaningless in the grand scope of life.

The Pull-Ups website has a section on potty training. Two is a little early for boys, but if they exhibit the desire to do it, then go ahead.

My neighbor's two boys didn't get potty trained until they were 3 1/2. I've been told that boys are slower than girls.

There are potty training videos out.

On one website, the best thing I read about boys is when you want to encourage them to pee in the potty, you can throw in some Cheerios to try and improve their aim, plus they have fun trying to sink it.

I'm going to try that one with my son when he's old enough.

they may be, but there are a few things you should look for in them first. If they are interested is the first thing you shoudl look for. This will make it alot easier. Otherwise you are going to spend alot of time and energy trying to train them and not get anywhere. this leaves everyone frustrated. but if you are at the right time, it will go alot smoother, it is different for every child. good luck.

they will let you know, my little boy was three before he would even look at toilet. my little girl is 15 mths and is using the big toilet! they are alot slower than girls, just dont rush them just keep looking for signs, one thing though once my little boy learned to use the toilet he never wet the bed, not once! my wee girl has had a few accidents in bed but doesnt wet herself during the day! point is children are individual in everything they do, its not upto the parents when the right time is, let them discover it themselves

Both of mine were potty trained by the time they were 14 months. So I would say - better late than never. go for it!

Only if they are showing signs of being ready... otherwise it will take you twice as long! One might also be ready before the other

Good Luck
