I recently switched from contacts to glasses and I have to clean them almost every 15 minutes because the inside of the lenses get greasy quickly. Looking at where the grease is, it seems to be my eyelashes doing it!

Can you get special lenses for this or will I have to cut my lashes? :( How do I do that?

I suffer the exact same problem and I have to trim my lashes, which sucks because they really are long and pretty. You dont need to trim them too much, start very small and work your way up to where they no longer touch. When I first started this I put mascara on my lashes and kept trimming til there was none on the lenses.

Dear friend,
While the spectacles are made, the frame is adjusted such that the lens never touches the eyelash. May be your optician is more interested in selling a spectacle rather than properly dispensing it to you.
Any ways the best method is to increase the Vertex distance(distance from eye to the spectacle lens) of your spectacle either by selecting the appropriate frame or adjusting the same meanwhile compensating for the effective power.
OR
buy lens with Oleo phobic coating (oil phobic) e.g Crizal Elize`.

Do not cut your beautiful lashes ! Try using an eyelash curler -Available at a variety/drugstore for under $10. This solved my problem. If you use mascara , try a different brand. Good luck , RN in Ca

I have the same problem! It's rotten! I use a lash curler and just a bit of mascara - because, believe it or not all you who hate me - my lashes are one of my best features.
Always have one of those scratch-free cloths with you and just wipe them off when you need to.
I'd hate to see anyone cut their lashes.

it might be if you put makeup on. makeup usually has oil and can cause glasses to get very dirty
