The American Animal Hospital Association has the recommendations for all the vaccinations including Rabies.
Recommendations are for every 3 years, but the comments after show that it could be good for 7 yrs.

Depends on the state you live in. Not all states offer 3 year rabies vaccines. You should contact your local animal shelter / pound to find out what your states actual laws are. Godd luck.
