Find something to do that makes you happy. Get a cup of coffee from the cute starbucks worker, or hit the gym before work. Whatever makes you feel good, something that you always look forward to, do it before you go to work. Even something simple, like promising yourself a piece of chocolate (or whatever) if you get up. Or, reward yourself with a day at the spa, or a day lounging around with the tv if you get up on time everyday. It also works good to have someone counting on you. Carpool, or make breakfast dates with your best friend. One last tip, make sure you mix it up. Sooner or later, the cute guy won't be so cute, going to the gym won't be so exciting, and you won't care if the carpools late, or hell, it can leave you! lol, so make sure to always have a fresh thing that motivates you. Hope this helps! (BTW, good job on taking an early morning job...I dont' think I could EVER EVER do that!!) Good luck!!

Oh, I know just how you feel. Getting up in the morning is hands-down the worst part of my day. Here's a few suggestions:
Try putting your alarm clock too far from your bed to reach and hit the snooze button. That way you'll be motivated to get up and turn it off.
Another suggestion is setting two alarm clocks, slightly staggered in time so that you won't accidentally sleep through one (happens to me all the time).
Here's a more unusual, but kind of fun suggestion. If you have a breadmaker, a lot of them allow you to put a timer on them so that you put all the ingredients in the night before, and when you wake up- fresh bread! That's a pretty nice thing to get up to.
Hopefully one of these suggestions works for you! If I think of any more I'll add them. Good luck!

Not at all a morning person, but my weekly job requires that I'm at work by about 7ish in the morning. Nor fun when I want to stay up until about 3 in the morning. I've found the best way to get up in the morning is to go to bed a little earlier at night than what I would think I need. This way I get plenty of sleep and feel ok in the morning. It also helps me to wake up when I shower in the morning right away.
Good luck with the second job. :)

LOL! Poor thing, I definitely feel you! I wake up on the wrong side of the bed EVERY morning.
That pay check has to motivate you. Try going to sleep a little earlier than usual. If you get a full 8 hours rest you won't feel as cheated as opposed to only haveing 5 or 6.
Wake up and have a sensible breakfast. Coffee and donuts are not a good combo [as good as they may be!]. Have some cereal or fruit and have a glass of orange juice or something.
Doing these will at least give you the energy you need to battle the day.
With time, the habit of waking up so early won't be as hard.
Good Luck!

Well luv!
Oddly enough, over here in Montreal it appears to be the opposite; us morning people are a minority!
Just ask Mr Earthquake and the construction crew (our neighbours) who are such night people that our (my hubby and I) sleeping schedule has been cut in half! And yet, we are expected to perform early morning at work, while missing anywhere between 2 and 6 hours of sleep per night!
Plus add to that the fact that they (Mr Earthquake & co.) can be long neighbours at night, but we can't be as loud as they are in the mornings because apparently it's OK to be a loud disrespectful neighbour at night but the mornings, oh... now THAT's so important to those losers!
Basically it comes down to a question of mutual respect. They have no respect for anyone and yet we are expected to bend over in 8 positions for them, them who prevent us from sleeping all the time!
The problem with being a morning person is that not many people are morning people and think the world is soundproofed. Night people think they are not heard by those of use trying to get some sleep because we have to wake up in the morning.... And when the morning people "act" like the nighpeople in the morning, suddently it's a war zone, a cry against freedom, etc...
I always wondered what was wrong with night people. Now I know; they are selfish and unconcious and inconsiderate of the other people around them. They have no clue that some of us have to wake up at 5:30am every morning to get to work.
But that's today's selfish upside down Bizarro world for you!

That is the cutest ...you sound JUST like me...
Well I USE to have a job where I was in the exact same position..I had to be at work at 7:00am :( it really sucked.
HOWEVER the only solutions I can offer...
Is what inspired me was the $....I made REALLY good money at that job...and sincerely they had it where if you were in 30 seconds late you would be moved in position on the sales job...which really was about a $200 plus loss for you ...so that is what did it for me.
Coffee of course helps....if you like coffee I recommend getting an auto one that makes it self in the AM..so it smells like coffee when it's time to get up. And really if you don't go to bed and get at least 7 hours..you might as well quit now LOL :)
Good Luck! By the way I did it for 2 1/2 years......you can do it!!!

Not being a morning person is one thing, but not being able to get up before noon is just outright lazy.
Are you getting enough sleep, you need 6 1/2hrs of sleep to function correctly (you need to add the time it takes you to fall to sleep). Too much sleep is bad too, and despite what people believe, 8hrs is borderline too much. Around 7hrs is the sweet spot.

I struggle with it everyday.
My job starts at 7:30 am.
You will always dread it.
The main thing I can say is get to bed early and know why you are there---I have to remind myself that I have to pay bills.
Try getting an obnoxious alarm and put it away from your bed.
This makes you actually get up to turn it off---make sure the alarm is loud and unbearable or you will sleep through it.

go make sure you get atleast 6-8 hours of sleep. in the morning try doing some excercise. i find that 15- 20 mins of yoga really helps.
eat a healthy breakfast with some fiber in it. the fiber will keep full longer so you won't have an annoying growling belly before your lunch break. hope this helped
