Because they are selling too well, they need to push other brands such as Coca Cola and Virgin cola so by stopping the sales of Pepsi, people will buy other brands. I was told this by a friend of mine who works as a manager of a supermarket.

Probably the same reason most others have, they make a deal with the Coca Cola company. So far Tesco is the biggest name to do it, although its probably an economic move as kids probably get addicted to the sugar rather than anything to do with taste.
