They should have told you 3 days at the salon...& be careful which shampoo you use, use a good conditioning one.

It depends on the perm solution used. Some you can wash the next morning and others you may need to wait 48 hours. Ask your stylist or if you did it yourself read the instructions

I merely had a perm executed a pair of days in the past. My stylist stated seventy two hours. I certainly have purely been misting it, no longer getting all of it moist. that's a soreness to attend so long to bathe my hair yet, for the cost of the perm, that's properly worth it.

You should wait @ LEAST 3 days before washing it out, if you really want the solution to take hold & work its absolute best.

Tiffany, do yourself a favor, btw, & never get a perm again. They are so damaging to your hair, & even to your scalp. So many caustic chemicals!! Ask your stylist about alternatives. He/She may be able to help you come up w/ a quick-styling process, using really good products that works for you & does much less damage.

Happy hair days! :)

Don't listen to any of those answers, i just got a perm yesterday and they left it in for 10-20 mins. It doesnttake long for it to catch to your hair and start to work

the safe time length always has been 72 hours..

seems to work for every perm from the mild solution to the really harsh stuff that stinks out everyone within a 50 mile radius.

and this was going back to the 70s when i was a wee tacker. :D

i'd just say 72 let it sit.. it will stick!

You should wait 2-3 days. You don't want to take a chance on ruining all that money you just spent!
