I'm talking about a normal plain strawberry one with nothing extra added to it. Thanks!

It should not take that long, after it cools down it should start to set right away... maybe a few hours to totally get solid all the way through though

It depends on the chemicals in said jelly and the ratio of hot water to cold water different companies include or exclude certain chemicals that could differ in setting time

best thing to do only use enough boiling water to melt jelly then top up with very cold water stick in fridge and it wont take too long couple of hours

Leave in fridge for one hour or when its set
test now and again you will soon get the time
and result you need.

I always use a pectin for my jelly. The directions are in a package of pectin. the jelly does not appear to be thick when put in jar but will set up within 48 hours.
