Wouldn't every Christian just die if the rapture is just aliens coming to harvest rocket fuel? There is always a food chain.

I truly believe that the body of Christ (the church) will be caught off the earth before the wrath of God falls on all that have rejected what the Lord Jesus Christ did on cross for all that would believe. He died for our sin, and He rose again the third day for our justification. There will not be very many go when the Lord returns for the church. There will be no plane and car crashes because there are people like you that don't believe God's Word. If you are left God will send you strong delusion that you will believe a lie and the wrath of God will fall on you. 2 Thessalonians 2: 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 2 Thessalonians 2: 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 2 Thessalonians 2: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. Revelation 6: 15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; Revelation 6: 16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: Revelation 6: 17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Those who say the Rapture is a false belief, obviously haven't done their homework.
When Paul described the rapture, he used the word "rapto" -
which literally means "to snatch!". Paul was both a Pharisee
and a Jew, which meant that he had the best training and
education of the times, in being very, very precise in the
words he was using, for the message he wanted to convey.
What isn't clear to some however, is whether Christians are
taken in the rapture before - or after - the "Great Tribulation".
There is a lot of debate on this, but - when the apostle John was talking to the angel, in the book of Revelation .. he sees the
crowds "out of all nation and tribes, and peoples and tongues"
and asks: "Sir, who are these?" .. to which he gets the specific
reply:
"These are those who have come through the Great Tribulation".
They must have been in it, in order to come through it.
Do a little research on first 400 years of the early church. God
has *always* allowed His church "to be tested by fire", so to
speak, in order to purify it. That pattern has never changed.
Why expect it to change now, when we live in the greatest age
of sleaze and spiritual back-sliding the church has ever known?
"I Am the same yesterday, today, and forever. I do not change."
- so says the Lord our Father, God in Heaven.

This "rapture" you just mentioned sounds to me like it would make a great movie some day, don't you think?... Sorry about that.
Seriously, for anyone to answer that question, you must first ask yourself:
How do Christians know for sure, other than reading it out of old books & scriptures, that this 'all-loving' God will intentionally do all this to the very people he "so-called" created?... & according to Christians & their beliefs, when will this thing actually happen?
In the year 2000, some thought the world would end, & some thought Jesus would be resurrected again. Take my advice, if anything does happen just like it says in some rapture, you'll probably be dead long before that happens.
So don't worry so much about God & his "holy" wrath... Enjoy life as a good person in your mind & in your heart while you still can!

The effects are hypothetical, in reality in many countries the disappearances would be minimal. It is hard to understand, but the "church" is what is holding the anti-Christ back. The misery is for Israel, so it will become so bad they will finally accept Jesus as Messiah. Understand that most people that are left have heard the message and ignored or denied it. This is really a simplistic way of describing something that is so complex.

That will be the tribulation period and many will come to know Christ during that period. Sometimes it takes a lot of bad to happen to a person for them to bow down before a loving God and God is loving, but He is also a just God - there is a judgment coming from Him - on sin - he loves the person but hates sin.. If everything was always good and happy, a person could become arogant and think they are god and they don't need God - but God is there when things get bad and He is there to save you. The tribulation period will happen for those who have not accepted Christ now before that takes place. Blessings and I hope this helps. One more thing - God is the author of love and He is a loving God. He loves you.

This will be the time when God says, "Alright...I gave you time. I gave you more than enough chances to accept me. Because you have not, this is what you have to go through." He hates to see people hurt, but some people will just not listen. This will be during the Tribulation when everyone not taken up to heaven will be left behind and forced to live through what makes 9/11 look like a walk in the park. It's a time when the Devil will pretty much have his way through the Anti-Christ and God will open up the seals for judgments.

Here we go, false doctrine!!!!, hypothetical !!!! Read your BIBLE people... This is not a game... GOD is real and his word is the truth.... The road to heaven is narrow and the road to hell is broad. Which one will you be on... He never said it was easy and he has given mankind chance after chance. Don't you think there is a point where even GOD has to say enough is enough. GOD is love and when the Rapture happens every person on earth will have heard his message and made a choice as to which road they shall travel.

The rapture is a misconception, just another false teaching. It is not that way... the people of God will be removed to safe places on the earth. Not suddenly disapear!! oh my gosh! who teaches you guys this.
The lord needs his people here too, there will be people who will convert during the hard times and if he removed his people from the earth.. who would be there to help and convert them to him??
Rapture is FALSE doctrine. Sorry.. the saints have always suffered along with the wicked. But, at least we know where we are going.
Think of hte mark of the beast... there will be MANY christians who take it out of fear.. fear of being be headed, or their families killed, or starvation.. etc..the faint in heart and testimony will fall.
There will be wars here, famine, pestilence, etc..... we will still be here folks. Got news for ya.
Prepare your hearts and your homes and stay close to the Lord. If your mission is to remain here on the earth to help prepare the way for his return, then so be it.. or you will die and be in paradise and your worries about this earth will no longer be.
Prepare and do not fear.

You make the same mistake that all who do not accept God's authority make.... they seem to think their mortal concepts are God's... that is not the case... God is the Creator... of this intire universe and all that is in it... God makes the rules... mankind dose not... play by God's rules or... if you are still alive when the Rapture occures... suffer the concequences... If you continue to reject God untill your last concious mortal breath, or untill the Rapture, whichever comes first... you will be rejected by God... it is just that simple... God's rules...

Basically, that would be the least of the worries for those who are left. If I remember the calculations right, by the end of the tribulation around 2/3rds of the earth's population will be dead through the judgements that God will unleash in the last 3.5 years.
