Do penguins fly?
No, penguins use their wings (called flippers) to propel themselves through water rather than air. Because water is much more dense than air, penguin wings are shorter and stouter than the wings of flying birds. Penguins are also much heavier than similar sized flying birds and have solid bones rather than weight-saving air-filled bones. While these characteristics enable penguins to efficiently "fly" through water, they have had to sacrifice the ability to fly in air to do so.and eatting them is gross lol

Well, sort of. They are absolutely fabulous underwater fliers. But in the air...those are not exactly areodynamic bodies you're lookin' at!
King BMX...you might want to take a look at a few other flightless birds: Ostriches, Emus, Cassowarys, and Rheas. They don't fly either.

Penguins are capable of flying but it requires attaching large engines to their back and attaching a cattle prod to their heads in case they crash land in the water and sharks think they're edible. Sharks and engines don't mix. Mind you, electricity and water doesn't mix either. That's why it's better to let them swim.
My honest answer? They can't fly. Too heavy. Must be the anchors in their feet ^.^

No they don't fly, as they hav wings instead of feathers:)
They are too heavy to glide so the walk everywhere except when they glide on snow or ice back into the water.
Thye recently started hundreds of them trying to same sex coupla as the warm weather is melting their ice and nature is protecting them from extiinction due to over population.

No. they are the only bird that cannot fly. But if you want to know more about them you should watch 'march of the penguins'. It's really very good if you only watch it once. (really, who wants to watch a documentary more then once?)

hey Ms. Pink.. for a bird to fly they need strong wing. Pengiums wings are not strong enough to take them off from the floor but stong enough to swim around.

I don;t think so, unless you count them diving off of a 40 food glacier into the water. That is sort of flying!

They can glide quite well, but that is not the same as flying. Ostriches and emus cannot fly either.
