At $1.7 million per mile
(the cost of the first 10 mile stretch in San Diego),
the entire U.S.-Mexican border could be sealed off
(all 1,891 miles of it)
for $3.3 billion dollars.

Iraq spending equivalent: 13.8 days.

Cost / benefit analysis, anyone?

Seems America answer to problems between nations is a fence, patrols, no fly zones, and none of them have worked. The problem isn't at the border, and until USA can negotiate solutions there will be a lot of money spent on bandaide solutions.

No we need better methods actually but I think this is a way to shut the people up for now so it can seem like they are doing somehting in washington, bet it never gets built anyway, just a way to buy them some more time to figure out what they really should or shouldnt do.

the money has already been allocated! don't you read the news?

President Bush signed the bill yesterday on National T.V.

we need to get out of the Iraq war we spend 4 Billion dollars a month there.

we could put our soldiers to work build a fence and have tons of money left over to deport illegal aliens!

How can it benefit the economy? I believe that illegals would be building the fence - that would be the ultimate insult!

It's so dumb because who are they gonna get to build it? I mean they may start but then after kicken the mexicans out, no one else is gonna want to finish building it. I mean it's not the mexicans that we should be worried about. BUSh is full Of Sh--! So far!!
