Its rude as well as many other things...if I gave my opinion I would get a violation notice! lol.
Oh well, all I can say is Im glad I dont drive any more.

It's also illegal to change lanes without using turn signals.
That being said, here in Cincinnasty, if one signals his intention to change lanes, make a turn, merge onto the interstate, etc, the other (very very rude) drivers break their collective @$$ to close the hole, prevent the merge, impede the lane change, etc.

I think in the D.C. area people don't use their turn signals because they think people will speed up and not let them in. Which is not true by the way. I really don't know but I wish they would.

I think its because they think they don't have to. It really gets on my nerves and is a pet peeve of mine.it only takes a few seconds to turn it on. Also what i hate is people who use them way too early or too late.

cause talking on your cell, changing the radio and turning is all that most people can do... could be worst... they could be driving slow and not using turn signals...
