why did you get baptized anyway? is it for the man or is it FOR THE MAN? you have to get your priorities straight, im not a real fanatic of reilgion I believe that GOD is here but he did not put limitations to humans, that GOD gave us reason not religion, i believe that GOD is everywhere, when you meet with GOD do you think he'll ask what religion are you? or will he ask how many people you loved and loved you back and most importantly if you love him. Think with your heart, do you really wanna go back? if so..then no one is stopping you..your going to the "church" because of what it represents not what the members represents. Just find a new man, he's not a gentleman anyway.

The question is: did you join for your boyfriend? I'm guessing (and hoping) you were baptized because you felt for yourself in your heart that it was right.
May I recommend a talk from the last General Conference for you to read?
http://www.lds.org/conference/talk/display/0,5232,23-1-646-32,00.html
It talks about how we're all going to be offended by some other member of the church at one point or another and the difficult decisions we have to make when that happens. It looks like it happened to you really early - but I know if you can overcome this, and follow what you know in your heart is right (despite your ex-boyfriend), you will be so strong there will be no shaking you.
Good luck!

I would go back to church tomorrow and then quickly get back to the basics. Read the scriptures, pray daily, keep the commandments, and live a worthy life. If you wrote in your journal about your baptisim and conversion, perhaps it would be good for you to re-read your feelings you had, to remember why you got baptised in the first place.
While it might seem uncomfortable for you to go back, it is your salvation and your spirituality that is truly important. I bet that many people will be very glad to see you. If you need to speak with someone, sit down with the Bishop and talk things over.
Personally, I think that this could be a very good experience for you. Everyone has to build their own testimony and learn to choose the Gospel for themselves. This is just one trial that allows you to show God that you love him more than the other things that may be important in your life.
Good luck. This too shall pass.

Don't go back. There are problems with the church and the message they teach. They say that they alone have the truth and that is a problem in itself. Add to that the false prophecies and the outright lies by people in the church and you have a lethal recipe in the church.

daisykristna is right...we probably will all get offended at some point, but we can only be offended if we LET ourselves be.
You might try going to a singles ward in your area, they are really fun and have lots of activities to do with other singles who have the same goals and values. I know lots of people who met their spouse at church!
Also, talking with the bishop is a good idea. Remember, he will not judge you and he will do everything he can to help you.
Good luck!

Go to church by yourself. Or find a different ward to go to if seeing your ex makes you that uncomfortable. The www.LDS.org website has a site finder to find meeting times and locations of church meeting houses.

Call the church and try to get an appointment with the Bishop. Explain to him what is going on. He may have stuff he may ask you to do but you may also get to go to a different ward.

Find an escort to church and celebrate. He's a fickle looser.
