Thanks for the great answers!!! I think soaking it in tea is going to be best for us. How long does it need to soak: 10 minutes, over night, etc?

first crumple it up into a little ball making as many wrinkles and creases as you can into it..then flatten it out as best as you can with your hands. soak it in tea, then bake it in your oven. for an added effect, drizzle the underside of a cup with coffee, and place it on top for a ring on the newspaper also.

Try using a candle to burn bits of the edge. Also the smoke will blacken it nicely. Above all would be a tea bath - cold steeped tea and dunk the paper in it, creates a nice yellowed effect.

If you want to make paper look vintage you need to yellow it.
try lemon juice on the paper and put it in a low heat oven to dry.
