I think the problem is there are too many smart-*** answers and too many people writing questions trying to make a point rather than ask a genuine question. It is unfortunate. I would be nice to ask a sincere question or look to learn something. I think if someone came to Yahoo!Answers to start looking for a religion they would probably at least find a spring board or something, but they would also have to be careful of getting false and misleading information.

I like to read about other religions on Yahoo, and I believe every single faith on this planet has something good and valuable about them. Although I am brought up a Baptist, I read Dialogues of Buddha from time to time. Does that make me a Christian who reads Buddha, or a Buddhist who reads a bible?
I guess its enough saying I believe in God without saying from what viewpoint (read: religion)

The vast majority of people never change the religion they were born into. Many atheists and agnostics on yahoo are probably exceptions. This is probably why we try to enlighten those caught up in a religious cult.

I was a god believer and discovered that I was an atheist through the internet. It wasn't due to "yahoo" directly, but "the internet in general". Discussions on dalnet, etc. If that counts.

Y!A has influenced my view of Agnostics, Atheists and Christians. The Agnostics and Atheists arguments are more believable, less judgmental, less vengeful or spiteful and much more logical than those of so-called Christians who are on Y!A.
I have not converted to any, but I am reluctantly leaning closer to non-Christianity.
