Hi,
If u want to back up all the files first u r supposed which files are need to back up then follow the steps

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users.WINDOWS\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories\System Tools.

If doesn't appear go to control panel click "Add or Remove Programs"and choose as "Add or Remove Components" it will display setup icon wait 2 minutes choose System Tools and tick the Backup check box. Then it will install. If the system ask the operating system CD insert the disk and install.then u can go to the above steps. If u got the problem for getting that menu u can copy the above path and open any folder, paste in address bar on that folder then u can get the above folder.Still u have got doubts u may press just F1 Key and type the problem on "Index".If u want to back up the softwares also u can copy the required setup file and paste in one folder. That folder should have include when u r performing back up work .
OK bye
Wish you All the best.

Try using a product like Norton Ghost. It allows you to make a mirror image of your existing hard drive for backup/use later. You will need a large amount of space to create this image though depending on the size of information you need to backup.

I'd recommend you to use Acronis True Image because it is more reliable and full-featured software than for example Ghost.
