If we can cure horrible, debilitating, and fatal diseases and medical conditions like Parkinsons, Alzheimers, and Spinal cord injuries then I don't think any politician should be banning or regulating it.

The controversy is not over stem cells. It is embryonic stem cells. taking a fertile egg which has the potential of a living breathing human. And these embryonic stem cells have not show to have great potential to cure anything. However adult stem cells taken from your own Body has shown promise. And umbilical cord blood should be taken and saved in case your baby develops problems later in life. The stem cells gathered from that blood could be the best source of stem cells yet. And it does not hurt anyone.

ALL 4 IT!!!!! The Republican Propaganda Machine has everyone believing that its "baby killing". To create the blastocysts that they retrieve stem cells from are ovum tricked into thinking they were fertilized by replacing a nucleus from a skin cell with the nucleus of the egg.
I think if research is allowed, it would put an end to diabetes, parkinson's, etc. scientists in other countries using stem cell research have been able to generate organs with no risk of rejection. I see nothing wrong with helping the human race

For it! Too many cures possible - too many others in the world doing it for the US to control it politically, just so some BOZO can get elected.
Or, if the stem cell research labs would hire a bunch of illegal immigrants, the Federal Governmnet wouldn't go anywhere NEAR them!

I am not for it, I think we play God to much in medicine, there has to be a line drawn somewhere and allow some forms of natural selection happen (please don't throw tomatoes at me)
