Can anyone recommend a solution for cleaning my brushes? I seem to be allergic to white spirits even the ouderless ones.

It may take a change in habit, but washing up liquid when the paint is still damp, will remove it satisfactorily without causing any damage. A squirt in the hand and manipulation of the brush does the trick................of course you then wash it off with warm water..............

"Thomasrob" is right, but even nicer is the brush soap available through Dick Blick Art Supplies. It even works on dried-out brushes...no solvents needed!
