1. Tamil is the oldest language ever spoken by man ( some may argue that ancient man spoke sign language and howled) they are crazy a bit and bit right.

2. Oldest grammer

3. Longest living language

4. was in existence morethan 6000 years

5. Has unique vowels: ya ra la vazala not found in any other language.

6. Has words that cannot be translated into other languages ex: ' yethanavadu' can you translate this into English or french or latin or hindi?

7. It is the language spoken by gods ( as per old sangam literatures, the first sangam was formed about 6000 years ago my Lord murugan as its head and presiding officer.

8. Tamilians were first in the world to colonise other countries, present day Malaya, Ceylon, Indonesia were under tamil rule.

9. Ancient lemuria continent's language was Tamil.

10. Tamil is having official national language status ( Ie. Government language at par with other national language and English, French) in Ceylon, Singapore, Malaya, Mauritius, Seychelles, Reunion but not in India ( it is a shame).

what i know abt the language is it is the mother of all dravidian languages. the charecters of tamil has a little bit resemblence with sindhi language at indus valley civilization. thats why i think the tamil is unique at the time of early hinduism

yes it is very unique. they use one alphabet for 4 alphabet. for example the letter "ka" can be read as ka ,kha .ga & gha.same way cha, ta, tha, pa. so if u don't know the language properly there will be lot of confusion. agais for example the names kanti & gandhi r written the same way.i don't think any other language has this confusion.

TAMIL LANGUAGE IS NOT UNIQUE ,MALYALAM LANGAUGE IS UNIQUE,because if you have knowledge of that language then you will come to know that MALYALUM language is mixture of SNSKRIT,GUJRATHI,MARATHI languages.
my mothertongue is MARATHI.
