get a live trap. They are these metal cages that are kinda long. You place some tasty food, like tuna, at the far end. When the kitty goes in to eat, the door shuts automatically.
Good luck.

live trap baited with canned cat food. Put in a location where the kitten hangs out a lot. Leave it alone and only check once or twice a day, try not to go to near it though.
I had the plessure of trapping wild cats in my uncle's garage and relocating to a farm after he died, so I know this works well. The ones I did not catch never returned after seeing the rest being caught. My uncle fed them and had doors built so they could come and go as they pleased.

A mother cat got hit across the street from us. She had 3 kittens. We would go over to the spot they would hang around at. We would bring them food and get them to trust us. Then every day one at a time my husband would go over and catch one with his fishing net. This worked really well. We got all three. We kept one and found homes for the other two.

Find the trail you want the kitten to follow. Lay down scraps of tuna or salmon patty every so many feet apart. Continue to call until he comes. It takes a bit of patience and coaxing. And oh! For good measure, wear gloves. Feral cats can put a whale of a scratch on you. We tried this successfully. "Tink" turned out to be a nice cat.

I assume you want to catch it to take it to a shelter or have it spade/neutered.
They sell humane traps, usually for squirels and raccoons. They have a small tray for food inside of a cage, when the animal eats the food on the tray the door closes trapping them within the cage. I have used them, they do not harm the animal.

wish ;I knew too! I SAW ONE THE OTHER DAY it looked like its leg was broke'guess some one dropped it off why do they do that? guess I could call the vet or pound to see about about a cage trap like I seen them do on animal cops .trying to catch it with food' but becareful use gloves it could bite you real bad thats why a trap may be better 'good luck

Leave food out for it. It will eventually begin to trust you, but it will take time.
