It depends on the type of hair you have. You know, naturally curly or straight, dry or oily. Pantene (Pro V) makes a good shampoo and conditioner for curly (according to my husband) and for colored hair. Suave makes a good daily clarifying shampoo and rinse out conditioner that has helped me and doesn't kill my budget. Paul Mitchell also makes a great leave in conditioner if your new shampoos dry out your hair. So far Pantene has been the best for me as a color saver. My hair is naturally red, fine and straight so I like to bleach it out or dye it dark or perm it a lot.

Try Tesco's Value two-in-one shampoo. It is very inexpensive and works for me, keeping my coloured hair looking good and it feels nice too. It seems mild and it works. Having a conditioner in with it saves loads of time, too!
Just being expensive doesn't make it good. I paid about £15 a bottle for some Redken colour care shampoo a couple of years ago and although it had a nice smell, it didn't really do a better job. If you colour your hair the colour will fade - it depends on the colour that you are using.

Pureology line works great. Its natural and for color treated hair. It has no sulfates in it, so if your hair is dried out a bit from coloring, its great. Its concentrated so dont need alot. i have very long and think hair and when i use the shampoo & conditioner it untangles it, where as with any other line i have to spend alot of time getting tangles out.

From my great grandmothers herbal recipe;
3 egg whites. 6 tablespoon of honey. 2 squeezed limes. 3 teaspoon raw vinegar. 3 tablespoon virgin olive oil.
Mix all together and leave for two days in a cool place.
Wash hair in warm water and apply the potion rubbing it into scalp, vigorously. Allow 1 hour before rinsing in warm water and final rinse in cold water. Dry hair and apply 1 teaspoon of virgin olive oil to scalp, comb , put on evening dress and go to dine at Maxims.

Dove shampoo has a shampoo for color treated hair. It also has a conditioner. Together they work great. I colored my hair and it kept the color going for weeks. You should try it.
