I haven't been married, divorced or separated! I am not currently seeing anyone either. Where do you live? Maybe we could get together.

Now this is an interesting question.
As a matter of math, there has to be as many divorced or separated women as men, right? The answer to this is, surprisingly- no!
Despite common perception leaning to the contrary, young marriages ending in divorce are due to the unfaithfulness or restlessness of the woman, not the man, so the women tend to remarry (to their new beau) almost immediately while men, having been bitten by their mates are loathe to make another commitment the first of which they originally thought to be for life.
I enjoyed being married, and was for nearly 15 years. During this time my wife had 3 affairs that I can prove plus another that was rumored. I would love to be married again but have little confidence in being able to find a loyal mate.
Recognizing this is a bit off-subject, I think that ultimately there just as many divorced and single men as there are divorced and "single or remarried' women.

I think a lot of it is to do with peer pressure. It may seem like a good idea at the time to get married, settle down and have kids but young adult males still have a certain immaturity about them and have experienced nothing of life in general. It's only when they get married and still see their friend "young, free and single" enjoying themselves on nights out etc. that a certain feeling of being "tied down" comes into being. This was my experience when I got married at 19 I was divorced a few years later and I am now 41 and single and enjoy it.

the older u get the harder to find a man who is actually single/available and not married before.. they are either in a relationship/divorced/seperated. but it depends on the culture as well .. some culture people get marry at a young age..

Because the best of us, with drive, amition and resources, are targeted quickly. Locking us down with marriage and a kid or two is a great way to the lifetime gravy train. At least, my ex wife thought so (and told me that was why she married me). When we're young, we're inexperienced and pretty easy targets. Once in, it's very hard for us to get out.

I'm 44 and haven't got married yet. Not because I've got anything against it but a) I've never been able to afford it and b) I've wanted a long relationship before I jump into anything binding. I still live in hope.

Just read all the kids on here that can't wait to get married, when there still kids. Their having sex to be cool or because everyone else is doing it, but they don't understand the consequences until it's too late. Also, alot of kids are having unprotected sex, which means babies, which means shotgun weddings, which lead, inevitably, to seperation & ultimately divorce.
