I will have people in and out of my house all weekend and I wanted to make some extra special treats for everyone.
Anyone have any good recipes for finger foods? Easy or hard?

I love mexican style stuff, chicken, I am open to all ideas!
nothing like a sit down dinner, more just like snack foods.
Thank you!! Happy Friday!

Maybe some chicken nuggets on a platter and in the middle put ranch & BBQ for dipping

Or you can go to Walmart and buy TGI Fridays potato skins a big box for 6 dollars, bake those and top with green onion and serve with ranch and sour cream. If you had the time you could always make the skins homemade (I like homemade better yum)

How about a 7 layer dip with chips? Everyone likes 7 layer dip

If you wanted to get really fancy you could get shrimp and wrap it with bacon, maybe put cheddar cheese inside?

Good luck

Here are a couple of our favorites for football watching.

Salsa Fresca:
5 tomatoes diced
1 onion diced
2 or more jalapenos finely diced
1 bunch cilantro chopped
2 lemons juiced
4 avocados if you want to make both salsa and guacamole.
Mix all these ingredients until well combined. Add salt and pepper to taste.
To make Guacamole cut in half and add diced avocados to half and mix well.

Hot wings:
1 bottle La Victoria Hot Sauce (get hot)
2 packets Good Seasons Italian Salad Dressing
1/2 stick of butter
juice of 1 lemon
chicken wings cut at the joint

Combine all these ingredients up to the wing and bring to a boil. Dip the wings in the sauce and place on a baking pan. pour over any remaining sauce, then cover with foil and bake 30 minutes at 350. Then uncover and cook until done.
I hope that you enjoy these they are a family staple at all gatherings.

you'll need:

one can of chili, with or without beans (about 15oz.)
one package of Velveeta pasturized cheese (1lb./16oz).

cut up the cheese into cubes (it makes it easier to melt). put the cheese and the chili in a microwave-safe bowl. heat on high for 5 mintues (or until cheese is melted), stirring occasionally.

I make this for the Superbowl each year and people love it. Serve with tortilla chips.

enjoy!
