What would be some fun things that we could do at home without spending a fortune? The kids are 3 girls and 1 boy ranging from age 9-12.

Have a make your own pizza party, either make or buy pizza crusts, and let each child top there own pizza..and then comes the tasting party, using old business cards on the back side, everyone rates the pizzas from a 4-10 10 being the best , the one with the most points gets to pick whats for dessert the following night!
Games that don't require too much excitement or have a big looser are good to, like Jenga or miniature golf outside.
Have the kids go in the other room and make up a play for you, have alot of your clothes and accessories they can use as props..make sure you bring some of your favorite dresses that the girls love to make it special.
Mostly have fun, and keep things stress free..a good scary movie, or a cheesy comedy at night, and treat everyone equally!

There are lots of things to do without spending a fortune. You could go play miniture golf, my daughter loves that. Not knowing where you live?? We like to go out to the beach and take a long walk on the weekends. We live in Norther California, about 15 minutes from the beach. Hiking and things like that are a great way for the kids to get to know each other better. Good luck, and have fun.

Board games, pumpkin carving contest, take the kids to Blockbuster and let them each pick a movie and have a movie marathon/pizza party/sleepover in the living room. You could have them all help make a meal, maybe homemade pizza with whatever their favorite toppings are. Go to a park and play or have a picnic.

puzzles..apple picking if you are in an area it is available..a picnic with maybe a game of kick ball...it is near halloween so maybe some scary movies suitable for their ages...any kind of outdoor activities would be nice...
