It's unclear whether that's completely possible. There are things that you CAN do to improve your mind, e.g., learn new things, learn old things better. The old adage of "Practice makes perfect," applies here. Many of the things that typical IQ tests exercise fall into this category.
On the other hand, there are certain abilities, such as problem solving that seem to be inately wired into your brain. Certain people had a talent for languages, or music, or math. These do not appear to be learnable. The famous Indian mathematician Ramanujan didn't even have a formal education, yet was able to stump college professors with his mathematical abilities.
Back to the first hand, improving your education and constantly working your mind has additional benefits beyond improving your IQ. New skills, and more knowledge can get you a better job. There are indications that active minds are more able to resist Alzheimer's disease. The old adage, "Use it or lose it," appears to apply here.

Read a lot and do lots of things that require intelligence: games, puzzles, etc. to exercise your mind. Helps stave off the effects of Alzheimers too.

I disagree that God gave us the same brain. Genetics plays a big part in it, but there are things you can do to help. Play chess, work Sodoku puzzles, Crosswords, Reading, etc. You need to exercise your brain just like you exercise your body.
