I want a Green Cheek Conure, Specifically in Cinnamon Turqoise... a breeder offered a Pyhurrias? Spelling? What do these look like? Since I can't get the spelling, I'm having a hard time finding a picture online.

Green-cheeks have an dark green body and wings with royal blue feathers at the end of their wings, and a maroon tail on both sides. Their head is dark gray and their throats are gray. Of course they have green cheek patches. They are remarkably quiet for a Conure.
Green-cheeks are really great little birds. They are absolutely fearless and will try anything. They take to water like ducks almost submerging if given a large enough bath bowl. They are very playful and outgoing. While charming as pets their continual play can be tough on other birds. Green-cheeks can talk a little, a very few talk quite well.
I highly recommend these little birds. They are excellent as a first pair. They interact with each other while continuing to play with you. Some green-cheeks can get 'nippy'. It seems more like rough play than a real attempt to bite. Like suns they prefer to sleep in the nest box and youngsters will sleep on their backs.
The size of a cockatiel. I have had cockatiels raise abandoned green-cheek eggs.
Length is just under 10" (25 cm).
Weight is 2.5-3 ounces 68 to 84 grams

Pyrrhuras are a type of conure. They include Green Cheeks (I LOVE the cinnamon Turquoise color!), Fiery winged, Painted, Black capped, Blue Throated, Pearly, Souance, White Eared, Rose Fronted, Crimson bellied, Hoffman's, and Maroon Bellied conures. They tend to be smaller parrots who are quieter than some of the other conure types such as the Patagonian and the Aratinga family. I've included some links of the different species as there as so many types of bird. Most of them are small birds with a scalloped throat and a small green body with a colorful hear and belly. The painted conures are especially colorful :-) .

So far only the Green Cheeked conure and sometimes the Black Capped conures come in colors that aren't found in the wild. I'll post some links that can help you out. They're opinionated but cute birds! Many of the smaller conures, especially the Green Cheeked, will go through a nippy phase that they eventually grow out of. You can teach your bird to nip less by not responding or screaming when they nip. They can learn to talk but they have small gravelly voices and not all birds will learn to talk. The cool thing about my green cheeks is that they're super bossy. They know what they want and they know how to get it! They also love to play and many birds will sleep on their backs. :-)

Good luck in finding your perfect Green Cheek! They're worth every minute!

I would say check your surrounding pet rescues and adoption there are many bird shelter in Florida..Also go to pet stores and place ads on the bulletin boards about willing to give a bird a home. Also flea markets ..yes sometimes they sell birds too Have you consider a Quaker, Conures can be very loud..but I agree they are very pretty and fun
