I am puzzled because in our normal life husband and wife are possessive so how they can manage when they see their partner making love if he or she is a heroin or hero.

They would have to be very secure in their value to their spouse and understand that their spouse is probably imagining that the person they are with is their spouse. If you'll notice, the married stars all close their eyes immediately. The unmarried ones leave them open longer. Also, nothing ever finally happens(as in actually having sex), it is simulated by movement and the actors making appropriate noises to make it believable.

Brothel: Mustang Ranch and Its Women is a book written covering a related subject. I heard the author interviewed on public radio. I got the distinct impression most of these women were supporting someone else. Often the someone else was a deadbeat spouse all too happy to be supported.
As for all the "it's acting" replies, I remember the news mentioning one company got in trouble for allowing people to have sex without using protection. Seems several of the stars passed some STDs . . . maybe even HIV around.

Just because you feel a certain way, doesn't make it normal, because you may be doing things that some will call abnormal. Some people are meant for each other, so they love doing the same things. Ex. Two people with a foot fetish will make them get off on the foot thing...It's a bonus to find someone with the same interest I feel...

some times it is hard for me to watch when I know a star is married to someone else in real life and they are naked and making out in a movie. I just fast forward.

they are acting ...so that makes it not real!! although sometimes actors get other ideas and screw around on their partner after having a love scene with another actor...like Brat Pitt and Angelina and they screw around on their real life partners...

I think they know that it's just "acting" and that they aren't REALLY making love. Now, if you are talking about porn, where sex really happens, then that is different.
