My boyfriend and I have been dating for 3 years, well almost... on November 4th. For our highschool graduation I got him a watch, but "somehow" it turned up missing, and we can't seem to find it. Anyway, he's been hinting that he wants me to get him another one. His birthday was October 10th, and to make him think that I'm not going to get him another watch I got him a money clip. Anyway, for our anniversary I got him this really neat watch, you can lift up the face and it's a locket (in which I will be placing a picture of us), and it is a mens watch. Anyway, my question is to the guys mainly... would you like it if your girlfriend got you something like this???

i have never seen a watch like you are describing but it sounds kind of neat.....as long as the locket part is real manly and not girly like they usually are. Maybe you could take him to the store you got it at and just casually have him look at it and tell you what he thinks. Just don't make it obvious or he will know what you are doing!!!

I think it is a great idea and I know you have great intentions but I think putting the pic of you guys in there is a bit too much. I dont know what kinda guy he is but I think you should give it to him without the picture. Then AFTER he receives the watch, he can place a picture of you guys (or anything else) in there that he feels for. Like, if my gf gave me a watch like that, I'd probably put a pic of my dad in it since he passed away a long time ago, not my gf.

Anyways, the watch is a great idea regardless. Good luck!

Wow; that's something I would not wear. Very girly and not what most guys would wear. A locket of your girlfriend in a watch is a little brokeback like but good luck.

What about a mizpah. It's a necklace with a heart that is broken in two. ONe person wears one half and the other wears the other half.

Yes, I would it beats wearing a bracelet with her name on it. But for him it all depends on how he feels about you. If he loves you enough to take the ridicule from his buddies about it everyday for the first 2 weeks or so then he will like it no he will love it. But hey I get crap everyday for wearing a bracelet.

PS. where did you get the watch.

Ver cool! You picked up on his hints, and so he can't help buy love it. I think you did a fine job on this gift. And the sneaky money clip switcharoo is a good one too.

Sorry... I think it's a bit femenine. And unless he's really sure of himself and sweet with you in front of other... don't give it to him.

I'd give him a different watch... just one where he didn't put the picture of you two.

And sell the one you already bought.

oooh a locket watch. that sounds super-fabulous...

do you want all his male friends to laugh at him?

buy him a proper watch or prepare to get dumped.
