My 11 year old son is so proud of the fact that I'm not the type of mom who goes "Oh no, I broke a nail!!!" like some of his friends moms! he tells them all about how cool I am - that I take him camping, hiking, fishing, etc - he brags cos I know how to milk a cow! lol So when I break a nail, I usually just peel away what's left so it's not ragged & keep on gettin it!!!

Firstly, I have never been blessed with long fingernails, so don't know if I can really answer this question. However, I can't see how it can be very amusing. I would find it all so tragic if one of my long nails broke. Chances are your friends would probably say "ouch" and have sympathy for you. Maybe I am missing something in life - "The comedy hour of the broken fingernail!"
