i have a toy poodle..his name is nicky..he's off white..but when i first got him (4 years ago), he was blonde with white little paws!..<3 so adorable!

ooh and turns out, they weren't kiddin when they said "poodles are smart"..one time, when me and the family were not home, he went in every room..(except mine-it was closed)..took every single shoe!, he lined them all by pairs, one straight line..all in the middle of the house, and he put this dog toy in the middle!!! i couldn't stop laughing

there was another time when my uncle was visiting us..he had a suitcase and really deep on the inside, there was a bag of chocolates..=D..so nicky (my dog) unzipped the bag..dug in, took the bag of chocolates out, opened it, unrapped a couple and ate like half the bag!!

can you beat this???

My lab picks up all of her toys before bed every night, which is more than I can say for my kids. I did not teach her this just something she has always done on her own. She also can stay, sit, lay, down, fetch, release, shake. I think she is smart.

OK So she's not MY dog but THIS is a smart dog!!! Standard Poodles are supposed to be one of the smartest breeds, toy poodles aren't usually very smart (actually they're quite dumb) so you got lucky because it sounds like she's quite brilliant!

This is Why People Love Dogs
James Crane worked on the 101st floor of Tower 1 of the World Trade Center
He is blind so he has a golden retriever named Daisy. After the plane hit
20 stories below, James knew that he was doomed, so he let Daisy go, out of
an act of love. She darted away into the darkened hallway. Choking on the
fumes of the jet fuel and the smoke James was just waiting to die. About 30
minutes later, Daisy comes back along with James' boss, who Daisy just
happened to pick up on floor 112.

On her first run of the building, she leads James, James' boss, and about
300 more people out of the doomed building. But she wasn't through yet, she
knew there were others who were trapped. So, highly against James' wishes
she ran back in the building.

On her second run, she saved 392 lives. Again she went back in. During this
run, the building collapses. James hears about this and falls on his knees
into tears. Against all known odds, Daisy makes it out alive, but this time
she is carried by a firefighter. "She led us right to the people, before
she got injured" the fireman explained.

Her final run saved another 273 lives. She suffered acute smoke inhalation,
severe burns on all four paws, and a broken leg, but she saved 967 lives.
Daisy is the first civilian Canine to win the Medal of Honor of New York
City.

My girlfriends little toy dog got into a bag of minuature candies and placed them still in the wrapper all over hidden places in the house. She noticed it when she was moving a pillow on her couch and the dog started acting up, growling, grabbed the candies and took off with them!

But, I don't believe the shoe thing. The candy one? Yep!

You tell "me" if my dog is that smart. My husband was always asking me to get him a soda when he was working outside in the garage, so one day I decided to train my dog. I tied a rag onto the fridg. door, put soda's in cooley cups, and called my husband into the house. I said to my dog, "Molly?" Go get Dad a soda. She went over, pulled on the rag tied to the fridg. door, picked up a soda, brought it to my husband, and went back and nudged the door shut with her nose! It took 20 minutes to train her to do this. When she has to go potty? She brings me my shoe, I ask her where's the other shoe? So she goes & gets the match! Dogs are as smart as you treat them. When I go out of town, I come back, and all of my shoes are next to the front door. By the way? Chocolate can actually kill an animal, it depends on how "strong" that chocolate is. Yeah, our dogs are smart.

I dont think your dog is very smart. Im sorry, because if your dog was smart, he would know that chocolate is very bad for him. Chocolate contains theobromine. A naturally occurring stimulant found in the cocoa bean, theobromine increases urination and affects the central nervous system as well as heart muscle. While amounts vary by type of chocolate, it's the theobromine that is poisonous to dogs.

My Kooper is a toy poodle and I have never had a problem teaching him a trick.. my problem is having him not doing the trick 24/7 LOL

You just grab his treat jar and he starts going thru the tricks without even being asked.. Rollover, sit, sit pretty, lay down, crawl, say please and sing...

well I have one that opens the fridge (and eats the contents), another opens the oven door, both can unscrew screw on tops. Smart dogs are a challenge!

Oh and PS: they are whippets - a breed not considered top notch for smarts

My West Highland White Terrier likes cool hair. He is always in front of my floor fan when it's on. So he's learned out to turn it on.
