There is this guy in my class who really irritates me. I work very hard for my projects and my projects turns out to be the best in class. Its fine if somebody needs help. But what if somebody just tries sticking to you for some other reason - infatuation.

He keeps SMSing me love mssgs (to which i NEVER respond), he calls me for no reason at all. And this really irritates me. I find him kindof cheap by his behaviour and so want to remain away from him. what should i do?

I fear if I reject or ignore him completely he may play games against me at my back :(

All this is affecting my working ability too .. please help!!

Just tell him that you don't mean to hurt him but you are not interested in him.

I often have the same trouble--just mainly because I feel sorry for people. Then, I have to expend all this energy just to get rid of 'em or dodge calls and stuff. I have leaned to just be up front, lately. And, I feel so much better. Just tell the guy that the two of you aren't a good match and that it's not going to happen. Sounds harsh, right? But, you're actually doing the right thing. If he talks about you or does anything behind your back, he's going to look like a spurned idiot. It's not hard to spot a guy who has been shot down--he's usually the one with his mouth open and trash pouring out.

Why dont you change your phone# and keep it confidential?

It's unethical to flirt with classmates or colleagues as it affects studies/work but some ppl aren't mature enough to understand it.

You may talk to him and try to make him understand that you are not interested in him romantically.

I say just be civil to him. Don't be rude or mean, but if he tries to pursue anything further than that, let him know (gently) that you aren't interested. You obviously have important prerogatives that need to be addressed: your studies. Let him know that. Just don't give him any substantial reasons to play games behind you back.

You need to reject him completely, sooner rather then later.

If he's sane, the rejection will help him move on.

If he's insane and prone to having a relationship in his head with you, the sooner you 'end' it in his mind, the better.
