Girlfriend, no one has told you the #1 rule of friendship? You never interfere with your girlfriend's relationship. What if she did it to you. You should never, ever let a man come between you. Go find your own.

If both of us were interested in him would it suffice if he chose you that she would back off? Likewise, if he chose her, would you back off?

If neither is committed, you need to speak to your friend and make a solemn promise that there is a boundary not to be crossed wherein you don't share him or date him if either of you gets together and breaks up. There has to be boundaries. In the meantime, don't let your friendship suffer due to both being interested.

First, there is physical attraction, then most couples have things they share in common, then there is the mystique of each to get to know the other. Those are the phases and I would approach it from a friendship and if it grows strong enough, even if you are not chosen, you'll have a great looking friend - who just happens to be male.

First of all, you and your best friend shouldn't be goin after the same boy anyway, cuz thats got "TROUBLE" written all over it. Its kind of a no-win situation. You get the guy and your friend hates you for it, or she gets with him and then you can't stand her anymore. I don't know how serious you are about this guy, but check your motives. Remember that guys come and go, but friends (good friends) are forever. In the end, its his decision and you can never MAKE anyone like you. If he doesn't like you for you, then move on and find someone who's worth your time and energy. Good luck, girl.

BACK OFF!! If you want to keep your friendship, don't throw it away just because there's guy you both like... Think about it, how many guys in the past few months have you looked at and though......I'd like to go out with him? Let nature take it's course, if you are truly meant to be, then you will, but don't lose a friendship over it....it's not worth it.

No one can make someone like someone else. Love is a two way street, meaning that you can't control the emotions of another person. Just be yourself... be nice to him, maybe some innocent flirting, if something develops.. it will happen.

BE YOURSELF!!! That's all you can do. Why would you want to "make him" like you. If he doesn't like you for who you are...why bother. It may turn out he likes your friend better. Deal with it.

Forget it! if your friend wants him, let her go for it! you should not have to run after any guy, they should come to you.
