What will happen at the pearly gates to all those in the Catholic higherarchy that just move/promoted the pedophile priests from one parish to another? Is the coverup just as sinful as the actions of those priests?

Yes, a person who enables a person to commit a crime is just as guilty as someone who commits the crime. The person who enables has sinned just as the person who has committed the crime has sinned.
We also know that god is all merciful and will forgive any sin if the person is truly repentant.

Neither. Like any other man - opportunity. This is not a problem in the priesthood. It is global. There is a higher percentage among married Protestant ministers. An even higher percentage among parents - yes Parents! and an even higher percentage in schools. Most of the molestations in Catholic churches were not, by definition pedophilia. By definition, pedophilia is the urge towards sexual activity with prepubescent children, who are generally age 13 or younger. Many of the offenders molested older boys. Some cases involved adult women. Hardly fits the category. A pedophile, generally speaking, has these urges from early on. But may not act on them because they know they are inappropriate. In the cases of abuse in our schools - all involved have been fingerprinted and run through the Dept of Justice database. So they have no priors before they are hired. Simple opportunity. We have become such a self-centered society, people just take take take, when given the opportunity.

On 'The View' today, they mentioned that the current Pope was on a group for the past 20 years assigned to investigate pedophile priests. They said there is a documentary that is coming out about this.
Anyone who has sex with someone of the same sex is a homosexual, but not all pedophiles do that. So I want to make clear that not all homosexuals are pedophiles, and it's probably a small percentage of the homosexual population.

You do realize that in the realm of sinning priests, CAtholics aren't the only ones with bad apples. THere are Anglican priests, Methodist priests, Baptist priests, and Protestant priests who also commit sins like pedophilia.

Unless they repent of their sins and ask forgiveness of all their sins by the blood Jesus Christ shed for them at Calvary, they will perish in hell just like anyone else who doesn't. Maybe this will help.

God loves you and it is not His will that you perish in hell.

The Catholic priests were homosexuals. They attacked the boys because they were homosexual men attracted to males. This is why homosexuality is wrong. It makes boys accessable to sexuality perverted men.
Heterosexual men might seek girls, but in a heterosexual society, boys are safe with men, and girls are safe with women.
