Why would you want to carry your dog in your purse? That's kinda mean. If you want a small dog, that's fine, but walk it on a leash, please.

There is no such thing as a "teacup" chihuahua. The so-called teacup chihuahua are only on the small side of the breed standard. Only unethical breeders will advertise that they have these teacup chihuahuas.

If you properly train and socialize, you can get most any dog to meet your standards. The only thing is, a lot of small dogs are feisty by nature. I'm not really sure why, but they are. IT may just seem that way because a lot of people think that small dogs don't need to be trained.

Hi there are many great lapdogs but the idea of carrying a dog in a purse is a little like cutting it's legs off...
A dog needs to be a dog & not a pendant or something to wear...
It's cruel to treat a dog like it's anything other than a dog & take away it's right to be a dog & have doggy fun running around & taking walks...
If people insist on getting a dog to wear maybe they should buy a new hat...Regards Jake

toy poodles!

go to www.akc.org to get specific breed info

basically any of the breeds in the toy group would be small enough for a handbag! and any dog who is properly socialized as a puppy should be fine with new people.

Teacup Chihuahua, I have one and I love him so much! That breed doesnt have the greatest history. But you cant judge the breed until you own one. My baby is 2 lbs. and he is so Cute! Just prepare yourself for plenty of time with him and attention for him.
