Everytime your credit is run you lose two points. I work with a company on the weekends signing up people for Chase Visas and by filling out one of those applications and having it run you are losing 2 points.

It doesn't effect your rating, people who request your credit report can see how many times your credit report has been pulled. And since having you credit pulled often is often a sign of applying for a lot of credit, a lender can get suspicious.

However as long as the amount is not excessive, you should be fine.

Yes, it takes only a few points off each time (1 or 2). You get a free credit report each year...www.equifax.com.

Actually, YES it does---NEGATIVELY.
Every time there's an inquiry to see your credit report, whether it's from you or anyone else, it's noted in your report. You definately DON'T want to do it yourself very often.

Its funny that people that dont know what they are talking about try to give advice, referring to the *%$@! below that says "definately will affect your score" WRONG!!!!

Dont listen to anyone but me. I am an expert.

When you look at your "consumer" report (one that you buy) it WILL NOT affect your score.

If a company pulls your report, it will place an inquiry and affect your score.
