I have been interested in cameras and photography since I was in my early teens. I loved taking pictures but was always a bit shy and not that creative a kid. Now, when I go back to my hometown and see how much things have changed I wish I had been more active with my camera. You can only see some things you remember at the local history museum if your town has one. And that is if someone took the time to take a picture of it. Streets that turned one-way, buildings that are gone forever, and the old theaters that had an orchestra pit and big marque out front. You don't realize when you are young just how much these things mean to you until you are older and they are gone. Take pictures, lots of them, of everything. You will never regret it. It is the only way history is preserved as the people that know first hand wiil eventually die.

We need to remember. We hang on to the past and look back. Some of us more than others. It's a fear of the future maybe. If we have memories of the past we'll know it was good. Also I think there's a real narcissistic element to it. Looking in the mirror at ourselves. I love having my picture taken and then scrutinising them afterwards.

time is only a memory, a camera captures those memory's and a camera never lies.
when you see old picture of somebody you say"WOW, look how young they are! look at their cloths, look at their furniture, look at their hair" or " that's what they looked like when they were 2 years old?"
every body remember different details about a certain time and the camera captures every detail.
