you see, I am going on a retreat and the only one of my family members who will be there is my brother and I probably won't see him much because he is in a different group! I am afraid that I will get homesick in the middle of the weekend and not be able to go back! How can I work with my homesickness?

awww i know how you feel because im going to be going to china with a study group for the summer and i dont wanna be homesick either. but your lucky that your brother will at least be nearby.. maybe you can arrange to be in the same group. if not bring things from home like a pillow, pictures, somehting your mom gave you.. you know. familiar objects that relieve you.

Get involved with what is going on during your retreat. Keep in mind that home will be there when you get back and you will appreciate it all the more.
