It could be something other than dandruff. Have you ever tried Nizoral? That's what my niece (a pharmacist) asked me to try. I don't have dandruff any more if I use it about twice a week. You may need to consult a specialist - they have a lot of medicines out there for special skin conditions.

Could be, or psoriasis. If you have insurance it wouldn't hurt to go to a dermatologist, although be prepared for them to tell you something simple. I would try a tar based shampoo, like Neutrogena Tgel at least a couple times a week to see if it works. Some products inflame certain conditions, so be easy on the hair products and see if that makes a difference also. Good luck.

It sounds like dandruff (I've had it twice) but I didn't have the burning issue... You should probably call your doctor to make sure it's dandruff and then start using a dandruff shampoo so that it will clear up. I used Head and Shoulders, but it seemed to make it worse so I changed shampoos... The one that worked for me was Selsun (it's in a blue bottle) hope this helps!!!

it could be nothing more than a dry scalp..if you have flakes of skin coming off, you should try a scalp moisturizing shampoo. If that doesn't help see you doctor, they can take care of it.
