Dear lord don't do this..just exercise at night. Your internal clock probably won't agree to waking up at 5 am for some intense workingout. Some ppl just aren't good in the morning, expecially if you are under 30, where you NEED more REM sleep. Work out at night, your body will thank you.
(you could also try wake up 30 mins earlier and doing a stretching/yoga routine. Burns calories, tones you up, and wakes you for the day. good luck!!)

So the reason you can't wake up is cause your body can't take it yet. It takes about 14 days for your body to adapt to a shorter amount of sleep. The BEST way to go about this is to sleep earlier, obviously, but sometimes you can't because it takes time for your body to adjust to sleeping earlier too (or if you have a job that ends late, you don't have a choice). Now the only way YOU'LL wake up early would be if 1.) you felt (truly believe) that you had no choice or 2.) you become disciplined soon and just eventually DO it. The 2nd way may take a while, but with the 1st way, what you might wanna do is find someone to work out with you at that 5AM time. If you find someone to do this with you, you'll feel obligated to get up and meet up, otherwise you'd be a real beotch for standing him/her up. OR you should just sleep earlier, if you can, cause your body just needs around the same amount of sleep each day. Good luck

I use to do women's bootcamp and had to be to work at 915am and bootcamp was at 545am and I would have to get up about the time you did. I told myself, no one else is awake doing this crap, just DO IT! You'll thank yourself and the best thing about going in the AM is that when you get home for the day, you're done. You don't have to come home, eat and go to the gym. BE DONE! I got more done and had more energy then I would go to bed early. Just make sure you eat something before working out, because you need something in your tummy to burn, a boiled egg, peanut butter on some whole wheat bread, Oatmeal. Just a suggestion! Hang in there, force yourself to just DO IT!

Well, what time are you going to sleep?
Your internal clock may need to be set.
Get into the habit of waking up at 5am and before you know it you may not need an alarm clock.

What time do you go to bed at night? It sounds like you're not getting enough sleep to wake up at 5 am. You may have to go to bed earlier.
Do you have any friends that would like to work out also? I have been doing this & fortunately my two other sisters (who live in different citites that I) call each other first thing to wake each other up at 5 am. Whoever was waking you up should be firm & say "wake up! No excuses!"
Otherwise I guess you'd have work out at night.
Good luck!

How many hours of sleep do you need to get through the day? Obviously go to bed earlier thatn you normally do...But try taking a couple tylenol pm's at first to help you sleep (dont do it all the time!) and make sure all your work out clothes are ready so you only have to slip into them...its hard but worth getting it all done inthe morning!

Go to bed earlier. Or try exercising after work. Once you get used to it, it becomes a habit and you just wake up on your own. Getting up early is hard to start. Also, once you start exercising regularly, you'll sleep better too. Good luck.

Go to sleep early to get your usually required hours of sleep. You will wake up. And as suggested already, eat a lighter dinner.
