Find several places you would like to work and go ask them if you can volunteer for a few weeks. Almost all government and private, non-profits will take volunteers. Even if you graduate from college, you often must start at the bottom. Volunteering will allow you to get a feel for what an employer is looking for in a new hire, and you will have valuable experience to put on a resume when you do get offered that first real pay-check job. Good Luck!

Do an intern ship.
It will help you get your foot in the door.
The people that you work with can then give you a recommendation. You will then have the experience in the field and open the door for future jobs.
Good luck.

Do something menial like bussing tables part-time. Meanwhile, try to find a volunteer job somewhat related to criminal justice. Maybe a legal clinic would be willing to accept you.
