If you are talking about the light on the dash that says this, There is no DCL unit it is called a Data Control Link and refers to the wiring from the PCM to the dash unit. If the wiring/link is lost then the dash computer will set the light on. Could just be a connector under the air box that needs cleaning, I have fixed some doing this before, but the dash unit may be bad.

If it's the DLC (data link connector) you are referring to, it's inside the trunk near the air suspension shut-off switch. Your question regarding whether it will affect ride control is YES, if it's not functioning properly.
